Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center

Hang Out, Help Out, Have Fun!

BISCC promotes the well being in mind, body and spirit of those fifty-five and older through education, exercise, friendship, nutrition, recreation, travel and a wellness program. Seniors use their experience and skills as volunteers.

The Center offers friendship, an extensive health and fitness program, educational programs, a variety of travel opportunities and lunch five days a week . The Thrift Shop is a great place to donate and it has great things for sale. Proceeds support BISCC programs.

Programs

The programs at the Senior Community Center offer opportunities to keep active in mind, body and spirit, meet other people, make new friends, volunteer and enjoy life.

Offerings include day trips, outdoor adventures, holiday-themed activities, bingo, craft workshops, movies, and more. Some on-site, some away from the Center. Many are through our partnership with the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park District.

For paid classes you may register online (www.biparks.org), at the 50+ Senior Community Center or at the Park District Office. For any free classes that require registration, you must call the Center at 842-1616 or email: info@biseniorcenter.org.

Non-Fee Classes do not require registration unless specifically stated. There is financial assistance available for programs and services at the Center. Contact Eileen Magnuson at 842-1616.

The Senior Center also offers free informational workshops regarding Medicare, Social Security and other topics of interest to members.

You are always welcome to become a member of BISCC (a 501(c)(3). Annual membership for those 50 and older is $10 per person.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers are always welcome to help in our office and thrift shop and for special events.
